Took the GF out to Quartz Creek, for a first ride on the 2009 Summit XP-X I picked up. It was pretty chilly yesterday morning (-17) but the sun was out and we found some nice powder.

There were definitly some land mines under the powder, but I didn't hit anything hard enough to do any damage. Lovin' the new Klim helmet and 509 Aviator goggles.

Here's vid using my Brother's new Drift HD helmet cam:

Great job Ekliptix! Its been a long time since i have seen your photos/posts etc on here... good to see those crystal clear HIGH QUALITY pics again! Awesome job on the video and the "situation!" I would not have had the patience and my wife would have just tried it anyway and rolled the sled down the hill! Also thanks for editing the vid to fast-forward thru the long tiring part of you climbing the hill alone! Great post!:face-icon-small-coo

Actually we just used my GF's point and shoot camera for these, but they turned out well. Thanks! I'm riding next week, and plan to get some really good photos.

be truthfull now...after that hard sweaty climb ....DID THE GOGGLES FOG...
No fogging! I was using Klim's breath gaurd that comes with their helmet. It deflects all my breath downward.

Major kudos for being understanding and making that climb back up. :) I'll openly admit to having my share of not wanting to go up or down something...and the climb to get up to my sled was always horrible. Ski brakes for going down has made a HUGE difference for me, even though now I don't use them very often...it's nice knowing I have them.

I knew I finally made progress after going down a nasty stretch, which you had to have a real sharp left hand turn at the bottom or go over the cliff.....and I made it. Another guy (not riding with us) came down, then his buddy sat partway down yelling and screaming that he didn't want to do it and he was going to crash his sled. That's when pulled my helmet off.....and felt really good. :cheer2:

The stills are really nice, hard to believe it's a point and shoot. What camera is it???
