Vibration and idle speed 800r

My 800r engine has always had alot of vibration at idle..also it idles at 2000 rpm..this seems high to me..correct me if this is normal

Good luck all mine vibrated and then the crank went. Still waiting for a new motor for mine!

The 800r is known for vibrating at idle. I like mine to idle between 1700 and 1900 rpm. If you want it lower just back off the idle adjuster screw on top of the carb rack. Should be a round silver knob. It will however idle rougher at less than 1700 rpm's. Both of mine do.

The lower the rougher it seems....I've never seen one that didn't shake like a bastage at any idle tho. Too low an idle and the handwarmers don't like to heat up and the DES or whatever doesn't boot up and get the tach going.

1800-2000 here. and yes it shakes like a black girls booty. Soon as you rev it up a little then its smooth as glass.
