VForce3 Reeds - Broken?

I just took my motor out of my sled and noticed one single petal on my VForce3 reeds is cracked and bent backwards over the reed stop into my cage. I never noticed a performance related issue or anything that would have made me look other than just making sure everything looked fine. Is this something I should worry about with these reeds in the future when I fix this problem? The broken reed is in the top left corner of the reed cage.

I would buy some new petals for the vforce reeds. I had mine chip at the end, and it caused major issues on my sled.

If the petals are breaking or chipping at the end shouldn't that be a warranty issue? Where can you buy just the petals instead of the whole assembly. I don't think it'll be worth my time to send them in, they didn't sound too enthusiastic about dealing with me over the phone this morning.

looks like possibly a backfire, are all the other petals ok?

Yeah, I'm surprised I bothered to look there. Never had a backfire once ever? Maybe when the belt broke at WOT it caused some sort of backpressure? It was on the mag side. Looks still somewhat functional, but I'm not going to chance it, I'll put the stock ones back in for now. Everything else looks normal with the engine. If I hadn't pulled the motor to change the water pump belt and inspected the rest of the motor I would never have noticed the petal was broken, EGT's were fine. That's the only sudden stress the motor had the last year was teh recent belt failure???
