Vett ?

I'm considering buying a used 05 Corvette and I really want it but I don't think my Black Lab can fit in the back!!

Someone please convince me that it is good everyday driver or convince me it's not!!!!

Maybe this will help me compile a list of pro's and Con's!!!

I really want one!! Yes my penis is that small!!:o

Pro - I will get to ride it
Con - I will get to drive it..

Short list, I like to keep things simple!:p

I don't think Vette and daily driver belong in the same sentence... ;-) IMHO buy the vette and spend a few hundred on a POS old beater for a daily driver/winter vehicle...

not a daily driver?? It gets 25 mpg on the highway!!

Winter snow/ice/salt with high HP rwd big wide rear tires don't go together...

I don't care much for vette's but if I did get one, I'd like to keep it nice, and looking nice... I wouldn't drive it in the rain much, and absolutely no snow/ice! Just makes it hold it's value that much more... There's a lot more to being a good daily driver than mpg...

Buy the vette. They are nicer to drive than the older ones, THey have AC that works, windows that go up and down, you don't need to be a gymnast to get in and out of them and they are fun to drive. Not a winter car.

With a vette, it takes 2:beer;

First 2 pictures are a 1991 Twin Turbo Callaway with less than 9000 miles on it.

Second is 1991 convertable daily driver.

There are good and bad vette's out there so do your homework;)

I bought a used '05 Vette last year,

Pros:

Is a cool car to have, fun to drive, quick and faster than he!!, handles like it is on rails.
On roadtrips I get over 30 MPG, 70MPH in 6th gear is just over 1500 RPM.
Is a much better daily driver than my 3/4 ton Duramax.
Only holds 2 people, the wife and I can get away from the kids with this excuse.
"Mommy, look at the race car!" is a common thing to hear when driving it around town.
Best performance per dollar car value you can find.

Cons:

Tires $12-$1600 per set.
Needs a new clutch, I here that happens often.
You feel every bump in the road.
Has very little ground clearance, you have to plan how you pull into driveways, had to replace a few parts cuz I didn't plan well enough.
Don't dare to drive in the snow. Not so much me but the other idiots that don't know how to drive in the snow.
Much harder to get in or out of than a truck.

Do your homework, make sure the car has not been beaten, and appears to be worth what the seller is asking.
