VES hose re-route

A few pics of my re route. After reading the Y pipe thread thought I would share.
No problems to report after 500 mi.

Where did you buy the drainline hose at? Good way to keep the engine clean.. thanks for sharing.

Great minds think a like...:face-icon-small-hap That's exactly how I ran mine last year with zero problems. Later

This is weird to me but why do some have oil out the vent tube and some have zero. I would think that if you have oil coming out you are way over oiling, all the oil should be getting burnt. I rode my 09 dragon for two years and my 11 pro now for over two years and not 1 drop of oil. The hose is perfectly clean.:noidea:

Ran mine under the pipe and zipped it by the chaincase drain behind the can outlet, inside. Did in 2 seasons ago, and has never been an issue. Easy to clean up any mess. FWIW.

It depends how you ride. If you are always w.o.t. or nothing, less oil will be present. Riders who spend alot of time at 1/4 throttle in the trees will be venting alot of exhaust gas out of that hose, and it will spray oil in large volume.

Must have something to do with riding like Danbot said. Mine is completely stock, with the oil pump in the correct position, and the exhaust valve bellows are always full of oil (so is the belly pan lol)

I was doing a top end on my 2011 right after I bought it from it's original owner (2500 miles) when I noticed just how nasty scrungy, oily, filthy the belly pan was.

It was all a result of that dang vent hose spooging over the entire course of those 2500 miles.

It was so nasty I ended up just saying the heck with it and pulling the whole motor out just to clean it all up...couldn't stand looking at it any longer, yuck!

Yeah, I highly recommend this simple re-route/mod.

Yeah tell me about it. Made my sled look 4 years newer!
