VES breather

VES Hose Rerout

Per some previous posts I purchased 5' of black 1/4" fuel line from NAPA and rerouted just in front of the exhaust can. I drilled a hole in the belly pan just ahead of the rubber grommet for the exhaust can.

Haven't used it yet as we are snow starved where I am in MN.

Getting the collar put on the driveshaft on Saturday per the recall.

Here's a pic of my rerouted VES hose (red hose).

I just used vacuum cap plugs and took out the y pipe from the ves to the celinoid and capped those barbs. As far as the motor knows the celinoid is opening and closing fine and the ves valves are working like they did on in the edge chassis. No emissions bull.

On the old edge sleds the carbs would feed more fuel from the increased air flow when the exhaust valves opened. On the cfi motors the ecm will not increase fuel flow when the valves are opening early because the sol. valve was disconnected. By disconnecting the sol. valve it may cause a lean condition in low mid range.

That picture is great, I tucked mine under the chaicase and along the bulkhead and forced it out under the plastic belly pan. I used clear fuel line so I could see what's going on! I followed the path of the hose from the factory and the across under the y pipe with a zip tie to the round tube to hold the line in place. Thru a hole in the side of the bulkhead and behind the muffler.

Googd luck

are meaning removing the valve? cause im saying keep it there but remove the y pipe and cap the ends. so the motor thinks the valve is doing what its suppose to but you get a peppier motor with the valves opening right away.

I'm planning on dropping mine right below the pipe where the a arms mount up. Quick and easy.
