Very Low RPMS on RMK 700

I
My 2000 RMK 700 seems to idle and engage at a really low rpms. It usually before would idle at 2500, and would engage (sled takes off) at about 3500 rpms. but now recently, the sled only idles at 1500 rpms, and engages at 1700 rpms. I suspect something wrong with my accs, which has been crapping out these past couple years, but it just seems too odd.

Any ideas???

I would also suspect the primary spring. Have a look at the primary clutch when idling. Is it grabbing the belt which is slowing down the engine? You may have trouble with ACCS but it wouldn't cause this.

Idle should be 1500RPM

Engagement should be around 4000-4200 RPM

Get a new primary spring. While you are at it get a new secondary spring. Go through both clutches and replace worn parts.

Since you still have the ACCS, throw it in the garbage. Go buy a new airbox top for a 1999-2000 XC 700 or plug the hole left behind by the ACCS. Next plug the extra nipple on the MAG side carb that went to the ACCS. Now vent the carbs into the airbox. You will need to buy 2 nipples to do this. Put the nipples 2 inches abov the carbs and slightly to the center. When you are at the Polaris shop by 2 38 pilots, 2 1371G needles and a 180 and 185 main jet. This will be safe to around -5 degrees so long as you do not go WFO for 2 miles. If you wna to be safer then run 185-190 for mains. Look closely at your intake boots. They rip and or delaminate.
