vert bushing

Man they wear out fast. My bars are just flopping around and I only have about 300 miles on it. Need on too.

Another thing while repalcing the bushing today noticed major side to side slop in bars no movement at tie rods. Removed hood and lower retaining nut on steering post came loose. Don't they know how to torque anything! Also broke off the the sway bar mount off the 12 high country on the aarm lol. Just removed the sway bar and tossed it in garbage can!

my bushing is worn out too, all the steering bolts work loose fast on these sleds. i have had to tighten all the bolts on the spacer the tripod supprot bars are all loose.

Yea that tripod setup is a piss poor desighn. I wish the aftermarket came out with a different vert steering and lower if possible. To tall fpr playing in trees

not picky...

What should that bushing be made of?

brass, oillite, denser plastic - pick your poison, anything id better then the stock unit. Ironically, I haven't had an issue with the upper bushing, just the lower two-piece unit. 500 miles and it is done, changed it out today.

I wonder where the aftermarket is on this one. Do you think this would be a warranty item?

Wild Child is supposed to be making some- I have an order in and he is a bit busy- but he does manufacture top notch items

S/C

my fix will be a standard post with a 3 inch forward spacer and whatever riser works good in the tight stuff. The factory vert steering is junk and too high for tree riding .
