Venting on Pro?

Was considering doing some venting on my new Pro but am having second thoughts. Was at snow show in Salt Lake over the weekend and was talking to rep about doing this and he suggested holding off. He stated that the engineers that designed this sled was concerned that the venting may disrupt the air flow through the sled. He also said that the high air flow to carbs wont be necesssary either. I say phooey to both. Probably needs the venting and the air flow kit. What does everyone else think?:face-icon-small-con

Polaris has vent kits in the accessory catalog and my dealer is really encouraging me to put them on my sled. I haven't heard of an instance where extra vents actually were a negative...

X2. Also, take a look at the intake plenum on the underside of the hood. Seems pretty tight coming from the stock intake prefilters. I added the SLP high flow and am going to get the Holz vent kits. Just my .02.

i'd rather have it too cool in there then have to replace a belt to learn the rep was wrong. i put the factory polaris (SLP) vents on mine when i got it home. there are some huge holes behind those vents.

Vent it!

I'll be putting Holz vents on at least the shock and footwell areas to allow air to flow through. They worked well on the IQ and expect the same on the Pro.

I personally won't choose the SLP ones simply because I'll probably have them torn to shreds after a few rides. Fire n Ice ones look great esp on the silver but I'm not a fan of the FnN logo on them. Sorry. Loose the logo and I'd have them on the side panels.

I think I'm gonna do the R&M on the clutch side....had their kit on my Rev and it was nice and tough, never let any snow through. Also think it looks perdy cool. I highly doubt venting makes a measurable difference in performance, but I doubt even more that extra airflow doesn't help keep things a little cooler.
