Venting 07 rev 800r

I put a set of Mountain Fit vents on my 07 last year. Good product, priced right. 5 piece kit. I picked them up from XXXmodrods. Performance gains? Who knows - but they sure look cool.

2coolairvents or get some dog proof screen and hot glue and do your own.

What are the best vents for the money and is it worth doing?

Thanks

Too Cool makes a great kit for most newer model sleds, RM lightning also makes several kits, (personal pref.) I have a Too Cool kit on my 07 xrs and also cut in a 3" flow right infront of my primary. Way cooler cluch, means better perf. and longer belt life. pluss it looks cool.

Guess I have more time than money. I found a small piece of swiss cheesed stainless sheet metal and marked a pattern on it and used it for a drill guide on the ends of my side panels. The holes were only about 7/64" so had to drill them out to 3/8" when I removed the pattern. Then used a hole reamer on both sides to clean up the plastic slivers left. The upside is it did not weaken my the panels in any way and it solved the problem a of lack of warm air escape route in the stock panels. Certainly works better than stock, but may not be as good as some of the aftermarket vents that also vent the sides.

any vents are better then none, ive got an 07x with two big side vents and 2 vents by my knee's. My buddy has an 07 xrs with no vents and his clutches get extremely hot and mine barely get warm. Vents are a must, my .02
