Vent Kits?

What kits are out there that work well and don't break the bank? Want to get the best quality kits that function well. Thanks

2 Cool

My vote if for the 2 cool vents. They work great, hold up really well and they can heat press logos and stuff back on them so it can look however you want them to.
The material filters very well and holds up great, plus they can recover the frame if you do have problems. I really like mine and have never seen a set I like more.

I have the Frogskinz hood and Clutch kit. I really like them, ran them on my M1000 and never had an issue.

We do!
11 pcs set. Including the belt/saver footwell vents
Check out my album.

I'm planning on a mix:
I have the XXXModRod vents just behind the shock towers, the outside of the primary blister and the knee vent kit.

I went with the small Holz vent just behind the toggle switches.

I had planned to add a few of Mike Taylors vents as well. Thinking about the belly pan, console and footwells. I have the TCP bumper and it mounts in the same area as the pan vents. PM'd Mike and he said he would send me the template to make a custom set but I'm still waiting.

I know this is probably not a popular point of view, and many (especially those who sell vent kits) will no doubt disagree...but here goes.

I have never seen the need for anything other than stock vents. The reason is that when you need them most is in deep powder when you are working the sled hard..right? And guess what is going on with the vents? They are covered with snow! So there is almost no venting going on at all. I would suggest that you save your money, and when you stop, just brush the snow off the hood vents to let the heat out...that's what i do. I also get at least 1000 miles out of my belts (#1115), just like those who spend hundreds of dollars on their vent kits.

Just another way to look at it, i guess. Works for me :)

Mike Taylors vents are very good and look even better!! You can also make some yourself if you want to save money! Like the vents on top of your side panels just pop them off cut some vent material the same shape slap some black silicone on the vent and put your vent material on let dry and snap them back on Very cheap!! :face-icon-small-hap

I am not sure i completely agree or disagree.

But what i do know is many vents look cool :) And if the truth were to be told, i wonder how many of us buy them for the same reason we buy a wrap, or at least partially because we like the look.

Vents

Go home made, very easy and inexpensive, buy some stainless at the local steel supply store and cut em out, above the rubber side panel strap on the front of both panels and in front of your knees on both side and the footwells, use very small hole screen for clutch side front. I've had sled covered in powder and not had any get to the belt. Paint to your color of choice. They work the same as the Holz vents and very strong. You don't need the fine mesh on the back. And with this placement of vents air goes right through over the top of the clutches.

I would go with 2Cool AirVents. Simply stated, you can buy plastic vents and replace them when they break, or you can buy 2Cool that have metal frames and have them re-skined for a very reasonable fee IF you ever punch a hole in it. I have been running the same vents for 3 years now with zero issues, and they still look as good as they did the day they were installed.

Running Fire-n-Ice vents on 2011 Pro and love them. Sturdy aluminum frame and are what I think are the best looking vents out there. Also running their front bumper and have tested it very well and also looks great as well.

Have ridden with stock vents in the past and had no problems riding in Colorado. I used Frogzskin and will be putting them on my new Pro this year

Did you make that rack? Looks good!
