Vancouver Yamaha repairs.

I'm living in the Vancouver BC. I'm riding a Yamaha Phazor 07 and the bloody Stator went on it. The part is 400 but the labor is going to be about 9 hours because you have to remove the damn engine.

Does anyone know of a good Yamaha repair shop in Van? I've found one so far

Give Brad a call at Powder Assault Services. 604-514-SLED He is in Aldergrove and is a good guy.

There are two stators on ebay...one for a 2008 complete with housing for $199.00 OBO and another for a 2007 with stator only for $89.00

You could also consider getting it rewound at B & B or at Mahara electric locally but a stator is usually on or off so I would buy the used one!!

The thing is, the stator is a minor expense compared to the cost of replacement. 9 hours labor is going 800+ bucks. The problem is to replace the stator on my yamaha is an engine removal job. I don't know how to remove my engine.

So I need a place that can do that kind of job. Nasty.

There is no way it will take 9 to install that stator in a Phazer! Try Brad....his rates are good!!

The powder assault services number is disconnected (604-514-7533). He must have discontinued his services???

I phoned the number at the same address and he's no longer there. I'm getting forwarded to his personal number... Bummer. Sounded like it would have been a good match.

I ended up going to Harvey in Squamish and he did it for the price as quoted which was 2/3'rds everyone else.

He's my GOTO guy now.
