Valemount BC

I am going to be in Valemount Jan 2 and 3 with the wife and wanting some opinions on where to stay. any suggestions? I have seen some lodges on the web that seem pretty reasonable. I would prefer to stay where I don't need to trailer to get to the riding areas.

Being first time to Valemount will I need a guide? Looking to do mostly powder riding and some trail riding.
