Valemont or McBride

I am planning on making a trip to the mountains the first weekend in April. Which area has better conditions currently, Valemont or McBride?
Any comments would be appreciate.

currently vale has great conditions. mcbride usually is about the same...a little less snow. usually but is always awesome

but it can change overnight for better or worse so just pick a place and go

vale is the best because you can hit either mcbride or blue river from there
