Vail North / Red, White, and Blue???

Just wondering if anyone has been to Vail North Lately? What's the snow like? I've never been there, and looking for the best place to go/park. Can anyone get me some directions?

Thanks

I was up a week ago, snow was not too good, We had a tour from one of the local guys who was showing us some scrubs 8feet tall and saying thats were the snow usually is at. Its not worth it if your a ways away. Parking from sandstone drive or whatever its called is not great, I have a 21 foot enclosed, Got it turned around up there but not much for parking and not much for turning around. I would go somewhere else but thats me, chance it and may find some good snow, you never know!

If you want to park in the Vail area you park on Red Sandstone road just off of the north frontage road in Vail. Like Gmiller said, there is not a lot of room for big trailers. You are not parking in a lot but on the side of a road. Doable, but tough.

You could also park in the Muddy Pass lot located a few miles north of Wolcott (I-70) on hwy 131. This is the other side of R&E on Moniger Road. The Holy Cross Powder Hounds groom that road every other week so it should be open.

Not a lot of snow...
