Vacation Spot Ideas?

Hi everyone,

I"m from michigan and would like to plan a trip out west to go snowmobiling. I'm bring the wife who doesn't do much snowmobiling so I'm looking for a place to go and stay that offers more than just snowmobiling such as a casino, mall, spa, night life etc. We'll more likely go with another couple so she'll have a friend to hang out with while the guys go sledding.
Also, what is the best time of the year to go, is midweek better than weekends, I would like to trail ride and deep powder.
Trying to get ideas and feedback to make the best trip possbile for everyone.

Thank you to everyone with any and all feedback.

Welcome to the 4M!
Most sledding spots out here don't have "other activities" unless they're snow related.
Grand Lake, CO has nice amenities and I'm sure some shopping in local tourist type shops, not far from Winter Park, spas, more shopping, and good riding around WP as well.
Summit County, CO, Frisco, silverthorne, Breckenridge, lots of places to stay, lots of touristy shops, outlet malls, etc. Good riding there too. Several places w/in a half hour drive from Silverthorne or Frisco. Tiger Run, in Breckenridge, Vail Pass, Leadville, Jefferson/Montezuma.
Steamboat, stay there and ride Rabbit Ears.
Tons of other places in CO to ride, but not much for other activities for your wife.
WY is much the same. Many awesome riding spots, but they're not near large towns or cities.
Wherever you go, midweek is less crowded, but none of the areas are crowded compared to the midwest. For example, we rode Grand Mesa in western CO foe 3 days right after Xmas. In an entire day we saw maybe 30 other sleds. The areas that rent sleds like Winter Park, Tiger Run, Grand Lake are crowded about 5-10mi from town, then it's just you and a few locals out past that.
Good luck, PM me and I can give you some specific suggestions or directions to the stuff I'm familiar with.

It's a good overview of the different areas in CO to ride.
