Did somebody not check the calander at snow west and book the snow show over the opening weekend of the rifle hunt? That's about the most retarded thing i have heard of. I bet attendence is off just a bit this year. All 20 from our group thats for sure.

It's a tough call. Unfortunately there is literally a different snow show every weekend from the end of Sept until November. So each show is in a way forced into a certain weekend, or they'd overlap with a snow show in a different city (ie, Vendors can only attend one show per weekend). Too be honest every show is booked up against another big event, whether it's hunting, football, etc. Sucks for everybody, but there's no way around it unfortunately.

I;d hunt over a snow show but I'd snow show over football any day...unless it was a really super great day outside in which case I'd be roosting or shredding twisty black.
I hunted in Utah for several years. You guys still only have one hunting season? If so that is so hard to believe. Utah needs to check how Colorado does hunting. Seasons from August to January.

Ya you got it, one season. I actually have hunted colorado a couple times and gone in the 3rd season and it was really good. Seems the only thing utah has going for it is the elk herd, but im sure they will screw that up.
I've done the rifle hunt in Utah.....I'd rather go to the snow show! Less people there than on the dirt roads in the mtns.
A friend of mine who grew up in Utah once told me that the best time to find single women was at the bars during hunting season! For one week your odds were always in your favor.

Xs two on the hunting over snow show and snow show over football. But the Broncos are gonna suck again this year so no big loss.

How long is your rifle hunt? I heard it was a Sat, Sun, and Mon but never found out if that was actually it. We still have til the 30th of Aug for our Archery hunt to open here in ID!! I lived in Utah growing up and I don't miss there hunting seasons.
For me hunting season takes prioraty over eveything else.I pray for days off during hunting season .My Rhino and grizzly are ready to gur bow only season starts sept 1st and there is hunting right till Dec 10th
