Utah Avy Conditions

Hey Everyone-
Great storm for the mountains, but the avalanche conditions are sketchy right now.

Here's the drill-
AN AVALANCHE WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR ALL THE MOUNTAINS OF NORTHERN UTAH. HEAVY SNOWFALL WITH STRONG WIND IS CAUSING NATURAL AVALANCHES TO OCCUR. MORE SNOW IS EXPECTED DURING THE DAY TODAY. THE AVALANCHE DANGER IS HIGH. THE AVALANCHE DANGER WILL MOST LIKELY STAY ELEVATED OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. BACKCOUNTRY TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED. IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO INTO THE BACKCOUNTRY, STAY OFF OF AND OUT FROM UNDER ALL SLOPES OF 30 DEGREES OR STEEPER AND STAY OUT OF TERRAIN TRAPS SUCH AS GULLIES.

Please tone it down the next few days and think about the consequences of triggering a slide.

Ya I have the sled loaded and ready to go and after getting the Avy Report we are going to bag it today even if it is a short road ride. Not worth the risk.

Everyone please be careful. Go boondock through meadows or in the trees(it's deeper in the trees anyways) but stay off of the hills. Don't even get close to them. Always remember who is waiting for you at home to arrive safely! Live to ride another day!
