It was a govenors tag yes.. and he payed 7 or 8 guys to track it weeks in advandce.. however i dont believe it was raised hi-fence..

It does count as it was deemed so by B&C standards and investigators as "far chase" and passed all qualification evaluations. The experts don't think he was pen raised and has been seen and chased for years on public lands and they have no recorded missing pen bulls nor did he bore any traditional markings from farmed stock. The guide reports are that he was normally only seen briefly during hunting hours and was wildy illussive. Quote "extraordinarily nocternal" and we don't believe any none guided traditional hunter would have had the opportunities on this animal. Most likely not prime breeding stock when huge masses of bow and rifle hunters knew of his presence, hunted the public lands aggressively, but never sighted him rutting or working cows. Of course he may have been on the "tom" at night....but I think he was probably gay. Interestingly he "MISSED" once earlier in his hunt....bet that kept him up at night!

In my book it's a cool deal that a guy that big into the free choice outdoor lifestyle program bags the record. Kind of like when the best team wins the championship! It's just, and it's benefits us all just like the program was designed to work!

is it true that the Mossback boys outfitted this hunt?
the Mossback crew is a bunch of unrulely outlaws, I work with a few Utah folk that had dealings with em.
I don't care, I do not like this...

So your pissed that some one took some video out scouting of an amazing bull?

No different than a person taking a vid of killer sledding and putting it up. They wanna share it with people. Heck if I took video of a bull like that it would be all over the internet......After the season. I would wanna at least have a chance at putting an arrow in him myself.

maybe not but they were close enough to thier pal spydy to prolly hand feed him...

haha, where you pulling this stuff out of, PM Makaveli Rev on here about that bull. He had a thread on it mid summer when the footage came out, If I remeber the forest service had to put restrictions on travel in the area cause there were so many pieps triing to get in and get to see him. No one on the planet hates canned hunts more than me. The facts are out there, that bull wasn't pen raised and was as wild as any other elk in Utah.

very true.. this wasnt a pinned up high fence hunt.. however.. was it a can hunt.... kinda IMO... when you pay that kind of money for a tag and that kind of money for 7-8 guys to track it day in and day out.. not much difference.. Is it an amazing bull.. of course it is.. is it anymore of a trophy than the 260" that I shot with my bow this year after 3 months of scouting and 27 days straight hunting for my first archery elk kill???..or the 356 7/8" for my first rifle kill 3 years ago.. Not in my opinion.. Sure if I had that kinda money.. I would be hunting big stuff all the time..

I know I know that everybody in that unit had a chance at that beast.. but he still payed big money for a tag that can be used outside of regular hunting season dates.. and guys to track it for days and days..

Bubba, I tried a search on Mak Rev and couldn't find anything about this but recall something bout that Bull being transported I thought? there was video on spydy the year before too!

Mossback---Fair chase? yeah maybe once in awhile, not all of the time!
at least Denny seems to be a Gentleman, I cannot say the same for his Mossback outfitters...

sorry people, we have(local landowners)had bad dealings with their(Mossback) tactics here in the Breaks. Of course there is good & bad in all, there are decent outfitters around I am sure, just not around here where I live.

nope, not transported...would not have been B&C if it was...or even if the rumors of it were potentially true...B&C is VERY careful about all that and researched it and even DNA tested it...

if only my wallet was as fat as that fellas :D i'd buy a tag like that also , that bull is a pig :D:beer; it would be fair chase of course, canned hunts are for loser's....
