I saw this add in Popular Mechanics.

Innovate Motorsports manufacturer of the world's first digital air/fuel ratio meter has developed a simple interface that allows you to use your Apple iPhone or IPod Touch to communicate via Wi-Fi with your vehicles (sleds) engine computer (ECU) OBDII 1996 and up. This gives you the ability to: View and record vehicle efficiency (MPG), Performance Dyno, Analyze critical engine parameters, view and clear check engine lights and more.

I have to wonder if this would work with our sleds?

I have been toying with buying a air/fuel gauge anyway.

Someone way smarter than I will have to confirm if this will work with two stroke sleds.

I have no idea if that would work on a sled or not but yeah that is awesome! I have the iPocket Dyno on my phone, the idea of that is you enter your vehicles weight and then accelerate as fast as possible and it tells you your cars horsepower. It was pretty close for me. Just have to make sure the phone doesn't move independently of the car or the readings go wack. It would probably work on a sled if you could stick the phone somewhere...

The innovate system just opens your vehicles ecu system and displays all of the systems on your ipod. so if you were to adapt it to a sled you would still have to install an o2 sensor or any other sensor you want to read.

I think this would work except for the track spin. If you could get it to hook like a asphalt sled then you could use the program.

wouldn't work unless the 02 sensor was part of the stock computer configuration. But it might give exhaust temp, timing and the pre det sensor readings, on sleds that have it. which would be nice. with the hp thing it calculates weight and the time it takes to travel a distance so to get an actual hp reading it would have to completely hook up and go

So, an asphalt snowmobile drag racer would be able to use this jsut fine!

We might be able to measure how well we are hooking up but, as the season went on the snow because more dense (harder) it would show we were gaining hp?

I was thinking of using it for my new air/fuel gauge. Would it work for that if I bought their air/fuel gauge?

Someone would have to do some extensive wiring to plug into any of the sleds sensors....maybe an adapter to plug into the ecu then in theory any of the sleds sensors could be opened
