I am looking at a used timbersled skid w/fox floats. It would be going in my 09' Nytro MTX 153". Just wondering what to look for and what its worth. Did timbersled ever make them to directly bolt into the factory mount holes?
Thansk in advance.

I do believe that it will require their fit kit. Call Timbersled, they can answer all of your questions.

If it's a full skid then will still need the timbersled drop brackets, they are $150 for a set if I remember right. I have heard you can still use the stock drop brackets but you have to shorten the length of the cross shaft of the rear scissor. I wouldn't know how to do it just read that it's possible on here.

the mounting hole is in the same place, but the skid is wider you can either shorten the shafts or buy the brackets. personally i would ditch your stock brackets (weight savings) and just build your own. go for it if the price is right , it's a great skid.

What would be a good price? Is there anything I should look for (weaks points, this bends, this wears out)? Some say the floats need to be rebuilt at ??? miles.
Thanks again!

The guys are right about the shaft length. If you want to buy the bracket it will then bolt rite in. They will save you and extra 8 pounds. If you want to bolt it to the stock bracket then you will need to cut the shaft down from 16-3/8 to 15-1/2 inches (cut 7/16” of each end).

If you have any doubt about the condition of the skid you can send it in and we will go through it for you. We will not charge you anything to do this service. The only cost will be parts and shock service if you want that done. We charge $50 to service each shock and give it the latest shock valving.

Not trying to steal your thread. Hey Allen does your drop brackets work on a 2010 nytro 162 with light weight yamaha skid?
