Used avy bag?

I want to purchase an avy bag for next year. I have a used one found its a bca 32 and they are only asking $220 obo for it. Seems to good of a deal to be true. The seller claims all components are intact and air bag works like its supposed to. Cylinder is not included. Does this seem like the going rate for this bag? Should I steer clear of used and just go buy new? TIA

I've bought used bags in the past off the big auction site with no issues. Usually most people only test them 1 or 2 times a year so they get very little use besides being used to carry gear. With how often BCA releases a new style of bag its not uncommon to see people trying to get rid of the old one and upgrade to the newest style just like they do with sleds.

And you will pay about that for a canister so your into it for 400.00 which is fine and you can always find a shop to test fire it for you, or if the person selling it has a canister then you can test fire it and if the air bag holds air and deploys fine, then should be fine...a new one from BCA is not much more so do your homework and try some on to compare, it might be worth spending a bit more for something newer or a more comfortable pack.

I bought a used float 36 on eBay before last season and it was a decent deal I thought. Mine came with a cylinder and I think I gave $380. I've test fired it twice and it's done fine. There is a hip pouch that a mouse had chewed thru to get at an energy bar but the seller had mentioned that in the post. The 36 is kinda big for active sledding but maybe the 32 won't be too bad if you pack light. I use a Mtn Pro vest now but I keep the 36 as a spare. I looked at snow big deal which of course may not be the lowest price for new that you could find but they are getting $549 without a cylinder so I'd say $220 without a cylinder isn't so bad and I've heard bca is really good with their customer service. SNOWPULSE

I am selling my Snowpulse 30L if interested. New price is $1100. Exceptional condition. 3 years old. $550. Inspect cheap bags, you get what you pay for !

If you look around, they can be found for pretty cheap new from some of the littler dealers. Do your research and don't buy the first one you come across. This is the offseason so no need to rich into buying one.

I have 3 of the Snowpulse Avy vests for sale. Comes complete with armor installed. EXCELLENT condition. $475 each plus shipping. Used a couple seasons, if you want body armor protection and Avy vest in one well designed package this is it. I'd sell all 3 with one spare bottle for $1400 shipped anywhere in USA but AK.

BTW BCA has an after season sale on most of their stuff. You can get brand new packs in the $250-350 range. Bottles are about $150 shipped I think. Highly recommend having a spare bottle, you'd be surprised how often the bags get blown on accident.
