used and moded 06 800 Summit price?

I'm going over to check out a 2006 Summit 800 shortly. I have looked at it before and it has the following mods: Fox Evol shocks all around, aftermarket (brand unknown to me) front A- arms (Aluminum), RKT head and piston kit (done 3 seasons and an unknown number of miles ago with 125-130 PTO side and 135 MAG side compression, aftermarket single pipe and can and a BOSS seat that is fairly worn. The sled has definitly been ridden hard and has a bent R front A arm (lower) and a small tear in the Aluminum of the NUN on the R side, there is a small bend or bow to the frame just behind where the NUN attaches on the right but no silver crazing to the metal (1/2-3/4" deflection over 5-6 inches) that I'm think could be straightened if I were to pull and replace the NUN. The sled has a 151 track and is definatly set up as a deep powder/boondocking machine and the bars or rizer is slightly bent, the tunnel has been reinforced. There are 3100 miles on the clock and the bottum end has never been torn into.

Price is... well, under $4500 so just a bit more than i was looking to spend and it will either be a money pit when I find thinks wrong that I don't see yet or a great deal. This sled would be a heck of an upgrade from my 01 Summit 700 BTW. I'm mostly wondering if the front end damage should have me looking elsewhere as I wont have a lot of cash left if I buy it, or how hard is it to replace a NUN and other things to look out for in what has obviously been a hard ridden and somewhat bashed but otherwise rockin Mtn sled.

Personally I would look for a low mi 06 Summit X. With that many miles I would say the crank would need rebuilt(check runout w/ dial indicator) and greese repacked. Alum A arms I have had bad luck with(had one rip apart on me on a medium hit sent sled barrel rolling bending everything including tunnel). Aftermarket pipes never to seem to work as good as stock. Sounds like tinkering nightmare to me. My son has an RKT 827 kit on his which seems to go pretty good and really dont have any complaints but it burns more fuel than my stock 06 X and mine will out do it everywhere. But his is an 04 non X with 151 where mine is X model w/159. Also it took a long time to get the jetting close but I run it on the rich side so I dont burn it down.

I think $4500 is too much to pay for that sled, and here's a couple of reasons why.

1. I own a 2005 151 with less than 2000 miles on it. Never been wrecked. Has R&M 5 peice vent kit on it. HPS can with stock pipe. Smittys 2 wheel (not offset) axle kit anodized black with stock size billet wheels. Stock motor, as I haven't decided how far I want to go with this project. All stickers removed and everything but the tunnel, rails, and spindles, and wheels, is black. Stock front end with sway bar removed. Polished tunnel. Factory all black seat cover installed by R&M last year. I would sell this sled for real close to $4500. It needs nothing, unless you want to start motor mods. I have another sled that has a Holz front end and nos I would switch to this sled and throw in for probably a little over $5000 total.

2. If you look hard enough, you can find an 08 XP 154 for about $5500. If you want to know where one is, PM me.

If you want pictures of my 2005, PM me. Both sleds are in Utah.

Don't buy something on the high side of your price range that you know you are going to have to work on.

My opinion.

Yes, I think I'll let this one pass me by, nice idea but I have a fully funtional sled so I'm not in a hurry, just jonesin around to upgrade.
