Just tested that the PIDD USB connecter will charge my cell phone (I have the model without the battery), could come in handy. Maybe everyone else already knew this, if not you do now.

The IDD owners manual states on page 66 "The USB connection is not designed or intended to support the connection of any phone or other device other than the recommended USB drive." So use at your own risk.
There is a 12 vdc, 2 amp SAE power port in the harness below the gage for power usage. You can purchase a "SAE to usb wire adapter" from many sources on the internet. About ~$15.
