Urine Test - turnabout is fair play!

Subject: Urine Test

What a great idea!!!!!!!

Like a lot of folks in this country, I have a job. I work,
they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test
with which I have no problem. What I have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to
pass a urine test.

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ***, doing
drugs, while I work. . . . Can you imagine how much money
the country would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could title that program, 'Urine or You're Out'. Just a thought.

A man after my own heart. I too have been subject to randoms and annual drug test for the past 30 years. Not a problem. They are jobs I have chosen and just part of it in my mind. I like your idea. That goes along with the one my father has had for 50 years....If you collect a welfare check, they should have to earn it by collecting trash in the ditches ect.... It would be amazing how many people would chose to get a "different" job if they had to earn their welfare check. Those that are truly down and out, would feel like they earned their checks and have more slef respect. Enough of this crazy talk and back to Obama land where we can all just stand around with our hands out!
 
lets just do away with urine tests ! I for one dont think it does anybody any good except for the clinics that perform the tests. Its just more BS rules that where established so that someone could get rich off of it.

I agree with with spring snow hero, I don't want someone that is chemically altered running a half million dollar piece of equipment on our job sites. Or someone who isn't 100% helping load holes to take a shot on a rock pit. One of my friends in high school spent his twenties trying to consume his body weight in narcotics, and now he's a shell of his former self- tell me again there's no long term effects

I would like to see a see some facts that would support an increase in saftey since they started doing the whiz quiz !I have Given lots and taken lots of these tests in 20 years of self employment anyone with half a brain can pass them anyway and the ones that cant well the where never hired in the first place.

Point taken! However I was burned over 60% becuse someone was just stupid! There is usually lots of failed tests to prove that but Its acceptable to be stupid and dangerous as long as you dont smoke a joint! Accidents will happen reguarless.
 
I do think any company who hires has a right to demand these tests especially if they are for dangerous conditions. MY uncle was head of a large package delivery company in the Seattle office and moved to the Frisco office in the 70's, he had nothing but headaches with doobied up drivers causing accidents and driving their insurance rates over the roof and had nothing but grief dealing with the teamsters union trying to control it. If I was in that position I would not hire anyone without the tests on a regular basis. Swampy:eek:

Very good idea. After all, Obama believes welfare people are good people that had some bad luck, they don't take drugs. Fair is fair.
 
I think it a great idea that anyone collecting tax money as public assistance should have to pass a regular urine test. It is only right. Congressmen and women should also.

Reminds me of when I used to still be flying. I used to end a six day trip by flying from Paris to Newark and then I wanted to hurry to catch my last flight of the day to Denver so I could go home. If not I had to spend the night in Newark and catch a morning flight. Anyway, the drug testing guru's for the airline used to wait for flight crews just outside the exit doors at customs. They would spot a uniform and then ask your name to see if you were on the list to be tested. If I had to be tested I would miss my flight home which I did not want to do. So, about an hour out of Newark before we started our descent I would always take my uniform shirt and coat and cram them in my suitcase and put on a plain sport-coat. That way I just looked like any other passenger and was never caught in the drug test game. Worked great. If a pilot refused a drug test it was grounds for being terminated.

My dad helped institute "hair tests" at the mine he manages. Urine is clean in a few days, but hair isn't. They have turned down 2 guys who had done cocaine in the last month by seeing it in their hair. The timeline said they had both done it within the last 2 weeks.

I for one am thrilled places are taking drug testing more seriously!
 
Urine tests can easily be passed, I for one like the idea that a welfare receiver should have to pass a drug test. My company went from no drug testing 5 years ago to testing CDL drivers to random testing of ALL employees to making it possible for me...a stupidvisor to dismiss a new hire for any reason with out cause. Dopers are a big factor , STUPID is the biggest reason. When we travel to a new job site we get hit by the locals for a job and will pick up a few for laborers , first thing I ask is can you pass a piss test, "oh yeah not a problem" I hand them the cup and point toward the throne room ...50% walk away. Interveiw over :eek: WELFAIR persons should have to pass a hair test then be put to work sweeping the streets or picking up trash. Some green for ya Bigrock Dino
