upgrading from 2008 to 2011 F-350

Ha anyone Upgraded from the 6.4 turbo t the new 6.7 turbo and pulled their trailer? I am picking mine up monday and am pretty stoked for the extra ponies! Any problems or complaints about the new motor?

Over all a great upgrade. I had my 6.4 chiped and made it 50000km before looking for a chip in my 6.7 LOL! They are a great truck best from Ford to date IMO. Good luck

Not really on the subject, but did you have any problems with your 08? My buddy is thinking about picking one up this week, and I just wanted to tell him what to look for. It's got 62,000 miles, and looks real clean. What kind of gas mileage did you get, and was yours chipped?

Sorry to interject but,
I just rolled 100,000 miles on my 08. It has been "chipped" since it had 800 miles. I needed an 0 ring in my upper radiator hose at around 60k. That is all I have done. Usually ran the 275 tune. They kept updating tunes and as they did I started puking coolant. I am still puking coolant and have not found the cause.
Absolutely the best truck (and I have owned a lot of trucks) that I have ever owned.
Was about to buy a new 6.7 but, could not part with what I think is a better power plant so, I still have it.

i started puking coolant as well... turned out i had a cracked hose... look for that. also i had the turbo flex hose burst at around 150 000 k. i have 220 000 kilometres now on my 08 6.4 and no real issues... I am canadian so i get 775k to a tank and 19L/100k. i have towed a lot with the 6.4 and she has been real good to me. I even took her on a 2 week 9000k trip to alaska last may and she performed flawless. no programmer on mine, just leveling kit and 37 bfg all terrains.

I ran a spartan 275 with my 08 6.4L and it ran strong. Never game me an issue. I sold it at 62k miles and was very sad to see it go. My good buddy just got a 2011, and I must say its quite impressive. Interior/ride/comfort is much better then the 08. Fuel mileage on the 2011 is way way better then even a Spartan 6.4L. Steering is much easier on 2011, and also the 2011 is so quiet its hard to believe its a diesel. If you get a 2011 you will not be disapointed.

I have had mine about a month now. I have been very pleased with it. Great power. Very comfortable. Extremely quiet. The trailer sway control is a great feature. I would not have believed it would work if I had not had it in a very strong cross wind and it performed great. All in all, a great truck so far.
