Hey Guys

Was thinking of upgrading my trailer lighting from the two rv style 12 volt lights with 1-1157 bulb in it to something that will put out some light so i can actually see what i am doing... what and where would i get something like this?

Thanks

Just finished the inside of my trailer. Floor coating, Cab, Tracks. Now if I could only see what I did! haha:face-icon-small-hap
Great Idea.
Been thinking of adding a solar panel on roof and a deep cycle battery to make the trailer light self contained with no tow vehicle. :face-icon-small-con

I've got my trailer wired with a 110v inverter, 2 batteries and a solar panel. I put in 150w halogens and they work awesome. The nice thing is that if the trailer is cold, you don't have to wait for the lights to warm up.

Well, like wiseguy ^^ said. Flourescents will give you more light than the normal incandesent (1157 bulb). But, as he mentioned, when its cold, they take a while to warm up.

I installed LED's and normal 4' flourescent lights in mine. The LEDs dont' dran nuthin', but they dont project light well. Sure, when you look directly at them, they are super bright, but they are not designed to project light, unless the LED is facing backwards, into a reflector that does the 'projecting'.

But, when it's dark outside, the LEDs give off plenty of light to safely see where to step and find stuff. It's enough to see to load and unload, even if your sled doesnt have a headlight. But, as I set up my trailer to be capable of being a mobile shop on trips, I also put in 4, 4' lights that really light up the place. Those will run off of an inverter, but I also wired in a shore-power connection.
