updated belt

anybody got to try one of doo's new belts, can't remember the number. Did your dealer give you one to try or did you have to pay for it?

Apparantly they are in limited quantities in Canada, bunch were sent out west for people to use and provide some feed back. Was told main production run still a few weeks away.

Heres what i was told is different with new belt:

Wider
4mm shorter
different compound to handle heat
sides are different angle
Also top cogs are a bit deeper & spaced out a bit more

I have a 2008 600 Renegade. Is a new belt coming for that ? Are there problems with all belts ?

not sure why there is all the talk about ski doo coming with a new belt, ya they did but we had a clutch apart from a 08 summit x154 last night and the arm pins were all full of the sticky crap and the arms were very tight! same problem as last years clutchs so why dont they just fix that first? oh and by the way we did have one of the new belts to put on it too, hope it works just wish ski doo would have done some warrenty of belts for me last year on my 07 x but that a different story i guess to ski doo
