This is the latest information I received from the Forest Service this morning. The new parking lot near Greenrock is postponed for now, but they are still looking at possible locations. This is a portion of the letter the FS is sending to the newspaper:

Based on our preliminary analysis, the proposed snowmobile parking lot location NEPA will be postponed for another field season. There are still unanswered questions regarding the size requirements, and engineering and resource-related considerations. We are not proposing to eliminate the parking lot from consideration, only to evaluate a viable location at a later date. This decision should not affect current parking along Highway 130.

We will be evaluating the other proposals and expect a draft environmental document to be available for comment in February.

I also see that WyoRMK is on top of things for the new club in Laramie, and he is posting updated information as he receives it as well. It looks like the parking along Hwy 130 is still ok for now. If you are interested in monitoring the situation, you can ask to be put on the FS mailing list.
