following the meeting with the ranger last friday, there seems to be some cause for optimsim. the FS appears to be willing to work with us in re-examining the closure of the area - whether or not it was legally done, and possibly re-opening the area. one of the biggest items to come out of the meeting was the request from melissa, with the ranger district, for as many of us as we can get,to send emails to her. that way she can show legitiment numbers of sledders who are concerned about and support re-opening the area.
so -- if you've already sent your emails, thank you very much. if not, please do so asap. our best shot at this is in showing the FS that a large number of us are interested in this issue.
