Yeah, It's a turbo 206 on wip 4000 amphibs. Good eye. You must be a pilot. It was crazy to see the glacier we ride on. My girlfriend was taking the pics. I'm kinda bummed how they turned out... I'm not sure why they didn't. I think we'll try my camera next time. The water fall near hood knob was pretty large.
If you dont mind me asking how do you like the wingtip extensions and {robinson kit}? on the 206?
To answer your question... The robertson allows me to fly much slower, which if you are a pilot is a big advantage for stol. The kit does make it heavier on the controls. I bought the plane the way it sits so I have only the opinion of others to go off here. They tell me my plane performs a lot better than stock 206's they've flown. Unfortunately the kit isn't available for sale anymore. As for the wing extensions... logic says that with more wing area we get more lift. A guy I know installed a set on his straight float TU206G, and he said they really made a difference. They don't seam to slow the airplane at all due to added drag. So all in all I'm very happy with the mods.
I did a little recon at Baker a month ago, nice area minus the huge gaps in the ice....
