universal egt sensor

My egt sensor is shot. a original polaris one cost four time as much as a egt sensor for car engines .they seem similar to me as long as threads are the same and they have the same resistance shouldnt they fit?

id probably try it...if it works out post the part # and where you got it,would be good to know.

it have been done on ac m8 .it should be possible but one need to know restistance caracteristics of both sensors
