Underage lingering in a casino question?

This weekend I was being a dumba** in Blackhawk and got a underage lingering in a casino ticket (being in a casino when youre not 21). Just wondering if anyone knows anything about if this. Is something I should get a lawyer over? or just go to court and see how it goes? was looking on the internet and it said they usually just give you a slap on the wrist and a fine. Thanks in advance

I have never heard of anyone ever getting a ticket in a casino. I have been around casino's my whole life and did a whole hell of a lot of lingering when i was younger. Never got a ticket, just asked to leave. Were you gambling?

Can't believe they wouldn't just kick you out. I sure wouldn't think it would be to big of a deal. I know somebody on here used to work at the casino maybe he will know more.

No I wasn't gambling but I did just get kicked out, then came back in cause I didn't want to wait for my ride outside cause it was cold and that's when they got me. I'm typing this and realizing how big of an idiot I am.

They still tri you as an adult at 14 tho right?


Not saying that I think that you should be there... I am 45 and aint never been to one, but that's me. But what's with the 21 (and older?) BS? !!!

My advice would be to go to court dressed and groomed. Be humnle, polite and honest. Explain to them that you were headed back in to get your buddy to him know you got kicked out and it is time to go. Your cell battery was dead or something.

Be ready to answer why you were in there in the first place. Why were you in there anyway?

Where there is smoke there is fire. So generally if you got caught doing one thing wrong there is likely something else. Just sayin.....

Were you drinking or anything?

If you were respectful at the time you got busted you should be fine....then again, i am no lawyer and the court may just want to rail you that day.

Good luck and be a little smarter in the future you could have texted your buddy to meet you at the car.

Can't be any worse than a MIP can it?
As long as it doesn't go on your driving record, no biggie (like a MIP).
I used to get those like water when I was a kid. Coulda papered a whole wall with them and speeding tickets! lol
But the MIP's never bothered me becasue they didn't up your car insurance.
Like others said, be polite and presentable and have a good innocent sounding story to try to get out of the fine.

Thanks for the advice, actually my cell phone was dead so that didn't help anything. Yeah I was drinking but the cop didn't write me for that, I was very respectful and cooperative to the cop so that's probably why he didn't.

That's what I thought, then looking into it, lingering is a class 2 misdemeanor in Colorado and you could get 3 months in jail and fine. I'm not worried about the fine, but jail would not be good.

at 18 you can die for your country(my son enlisted in the marines at 18)..but other wise not much, you can go to the non alcohol tittie bars and thats about it..personally, if you enlist in the services, you should have all the rites of a 21 yr old(at least on base they should allow you to drink...)
