under tunnel exhaust issues on Apex

I replaced the stock rear on an 07 Apex last year and I am very pleased with the improvement with one exception. It bogs in the deep with the under the tunnel exhaust....I have seen posts that mention shields that help with this problem. What exactly can be done here?
