You got to love the "crash and burn" photo section.

This picture got me to thinking.

There have been numerous times when I have gotten down in an area where I was unsure wether to keep going down a creek bed (and potentially make things worse), or stop and get help. Every time, I have pushed on until I found an exit point or a decent place to turn around. I think I was lucky, it could have turned out that the creek bed narrowed up to the point where you can go no further, or turn around.

But have any of you done something like this, pushed onwards and couldn't get out without buying your buddies steak dinners afterwards?

We have all pushed it... Sometimes you are good, sometimes you are lucky and i know there have been a few times I was just flat out dumb!!! :D

Yep, we have pushed to far and been burned. It always starts off slow......"No biggie, I can turn around and make it back out over that if I have too." Then it gets a little worse, and a little more worse and then 2 hours later you know your in big trouble. So then you HAVE to keep going down, your bound to find a clearing or old trail RIGHT? wrong....Its 6 hours later and its time to find shelter because your CAMPING!! Been there done that. Eric

Seems every time there is a blizzard when riding, I end up dropping into one of those things...

yeah i tried jumpin a creek, stupid impulse ideas! i rolled into the creek, anyways, i just rode the creek for a few hundred yards and finally had an opening, lucky!

I love finding stufff like that. Not this year though. With my yammi I propably won't have as many friends to help dig me out

Notice there's another track going down in front of him, either there are a few who are in just as bad of a situation or it's the trail!!

best part of this is that you had someone take pics
i hate those moments....i always seem to find them! ha ha ha!

The first picture has a preaty good story to it!! He is my riding partener. That hole was in the middle of a medow, we were all going wfo and all of a sudden he disapears!! all we seen when we got there was a foot of the tunnel sticking out of the bank. He was fine, baled off. Lucky was all I could say, he rides 05 1000rt 162. If there is someone in our group to find something like that he will!!!! They give me hell for always carring a camera but with him around Ive got a hole album of stuff like that.
