Ultimate post forward for KK

I have seen the kits but took it a step further - 14" further. I rebuilt my column to include a universal joint under the lip of the carbs and turned the column straight up at that point. The column comes at about where the tops of the gauges were. (relocated) The result is amazing. I'm actually a little forward of the M chassis post location and the balance on the sled is improved so much you wouldn't know it was the same machine. It moves my weight at least a foot forward and the heavy feeling of the KK is gone. I do things with this machine now that I wouldn't have thought of doing before. I've also done some extensive modes on the tunnel and don't see any reason to upgrade to a newer machine yet. I'ts a really fun machine to ride now.

Here's a picture of the post setup.

For reference, the stock post comes out at a steep angle just in front of the filler cap. This post is decidedly not there.

Yes the post is way forward. Here is what it gives. I stand upright when riding and the handling is improved by leaps and bounds. I am not a small guy, 6'4 and 240. The balance of the sled is improved since weight goes forward and the track is not as loaded. Tossing the machine is way easier than stock and wrong foot forward sidehilling is as good as it gets. There is no strength issue with the u joint. Super strong. I may have added 2lbs in reinforcing.

Comón those pics are teasers! Lets see without the covers and under the hood. I'd like to see how you tied the hoop together and I question your foot position.....seems you'd be reaching forward a lot more.......just thinking here but I don't think I'd like that too much, especially when I want to move towards the back of the machine....definately cool idea you got there, would wanna try it before I moved my post too far forward as the way I have mine now turned the 1M into a carving machine!
Good enginuity there!
