Uh Oh! Rmk vs. streambank

Well I found out how weak these a arms really are today. 5 mph into a small 1.5ft bank we had ridden down to dirt absolutely crinkled my right upper and lower a-arms. But I guess bending these is better than the bulkhead, hopefully. Looking for anyone with a spare right side (exhaust) upper and lower arms for an 09 rmk. This is also in the swapmeet section, but I wanted to get the word out. Thanks :beer;

I think that you caught it just right, I've abused the daylights out of mine and even took out a 4" tree one day.

Holz?

I went through two of them before I got the Holz. The first one was legit, (I hit a rock), the second one bent after I hit a whoop ON THE TRAIL. They aren't very cheap either.

First one broke on the trail and I didnt even notice right away. I have done some crazy crap thats had me checkin everything twice with no issues so far.

I'm tired of bending a-arms too!! Anyone have a red Holz lower left for sale?:):beer;

Well, since my '05 fusion, 06 900 Switchback, 07 Dragon, 08 Dragon RMK, and 09 Assault, I can tell you get used to it. I believe my A-arm count is currently near 30! BUT, never more significant damage to the bulkhead etc. Did have an 08 XP that destroyed the full truss region in a small ditch costing almost $900. A-arms are cheap by those standards. BTW, swapped that XP for my 155 Dragon and would again anyday.

30 A arms! You know that you can only ride when there is snow on the ground, right? lol

I know the feeling..

I bent three out of four A-arms on my 09D8 the last day of riding last year and bent both lowers on my 07 600 RMK in two seasons. Can't say that I'm anywhere close to BigBoreManiac's 30, but I bought a 2010 XP and bent my lower left A-arm at 10.5 miles. Wanted to puke. However I am ok with stock A-arms as the dealer usually has them in stock and I'd rather replace an A-arm than a bulkhead. :D

go to the holz..they are stronger then stock but weak enough to protect the chassis....

i bent my a arms, the next day i ordered the HOLZ black a arms and since then i have had no troubles. Even took out some trees with them and the only damage was my HOLZ sticker.
