Typical Snowcheck deals?

I never buy anything brand new - besides my house, the instant pure depreciation is what always keeps me from buying something brand new.

However, I am leaning towards making my first brand new purchase and wondered what the typical snowcheck deals are for Polaris?

Current they have $2,000 back through Feb 29th and zero interest until 2012 on the 2012 sleds.

I know I would rather have the 2013 but the 2012 deal is temping as I'm somewhat of a tight *** when it comes to throwing around my hard earned cash.

Not knowing what the 2013's will cost, what in the past is a typical snowcheck deal?

Thanks!

Id think that realistically guys will be paying around 11,500-12,000 for the 2013. And id guess most paid around 10,000-10,500 for the '12.

Depending on the price of '12 leftovers, with a 2,000 cash back.... That should be a pretty good deal! On the other hand, their is going to be alot of guys that have to have the latest and greatest... With a weak winter, lots of really low mileage '12 will be available!

I know you said new though, and either way, youre going to love either of them. I personally prefer to buy sleds new, and always have.

If you can save a few thousand from the price of '13, with buying a new '12... You'd be in good shape!!

every dealer is different for base prices... But typically you get a base price for a sled model. Standard models tend to be cheaper than Snowcheck special options (usualy graphics). Then you can chose from a warranty/Polaris Accesory option which is something like 4yr warranty - $0, 2yr warranty - $700 in pure polaris accesories (you pay msrp listed in catalog), 2yr warranty - $450 off sled base price.

I'm not sure what typical is but I would be hard pressed to snow check. In Utah this weekend I saw several 2012 163's advertised for $9,700. Thats $2,300 off list.

Find a stock low mile 2012 that is a snowcheck with the 4 year warranty in writing and recorded with Polaris. I bet in May or over the summer those will be 9 or maybe even a little less. A lot depends on how much the new sled is. I wouldn't buy anything until the price is set. I have a 2012, the 2013 price and what the new Doo has to offer will determine what I do. I wouldn't pay $3000 for the upgrade from 12 to 13 but a LOT of people will.

Thanks-- I'll check out KSL, or is there a better classifieds listing for sleds in the Utah area?

I've been considering a snowcheck as well this year. Anyone else think that because of the immense popularity of the sled that we might see less incentives on the 13? Like maybe just a limited graphic edition on something. Kinda can't picture poo giving away 4 year warranty on sleds just for snowchecking anymore.

usually i wait until late november/december to buy. I got the warranty and 0% for 12 months on a new 2012. Lots of times you will be able to find a snowcheck that someone backed out on and get it for $500 cheaper as well.
If you have a good relationship with your dealer then tell him you want the first snowcheck sled that someone backs out on. Can save some coin there.

Wait and see what polaris has to offer as incentives on the snow check. But they usually arent worth the $500, at least to me anyways

The biggest reason I can see to snowcheck is you are basically putting yourself in line to have a sled guaranteed. Money wise you may save a little bit but had you invested that money and earned 10% interest for the 6 months that the dealer sits on it you probably come out even... LOL anyway with the extremely high demand for these sleds there is no guarantee that your dealer is going to have to many of them sitting around. I know my dealer was completely sold out of 2012s by December and didn't expect to get anymore of them in. As plenty of people have already said tho, you can expect a lot of good deals this spring from people feeling like they have to have the 2013 even tho they were only able to get 300 miles on their 2012.
