Type of plastic on new Polaris Hoods

I need to know the composition of plastic on the new polaris hoods. Is it a high density plastic or some sort of new plastic? Any info is helpful. Thanks!

All the RUSH/PRO-Chassis RMK sleds have a High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) hood on them. HDPE is not effectively paintable... not with the kind of abrasion a sled edures.

EXCEPT for the Rush with the "Patriot" paint scheme. That white hood is made from TPO (ThermoPlastic Olefin) and is paintable.

The side panels are TPO

The Console is HDPE

The nose pan is Nylon.

Mountainhorse do you know if the "carbon fiber" hood is "HDPE" or "TPO"? Thanks in advance! CSF

The CF "look" hood is TPO...Water dip graphics and clear coated.

any tips for attempting to paint the side panels?

Be careful when taking stickers off, I had clear coat come off in one spot. I did have a little heat from heat gun on it.
