Two problems - need HELP!

Went out to the Snowies last weekend. Had a blast but two problems cropped up on my '10 M8. The first one is it won't start first thing in the morning. Everytime I had to pin the throttle and then it would fire. Never had that problem on a fuel injected sled. That problem is bad enough, but then I had another issue. On occasion at slow speeds the thing acts like it drops a cylinder. It happened one time at the end of the day on the way back to the trailer. Another time was first thing in the morning. Yet another time was the middle of the day in slow speeds on the trail. Every time it seems to clear up when I get a chance to open up the throttle for a bit. I'm planning to take it back to the dealer but any ideas before I go in would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It may be broken reeds.

I did take a branch into my intake screen on a previous trip. We took the airbox off and found a small twig up against the reeds. We removed it and it ran fine the next two days. Now this issue of bogging happened on my most recent trip. I did have the starting issue one morning on my previous trip.

Yeah, my intake got plugged in some deep powder (piss poor design IMHO), but I just brushed off the snow from it, and it went back to running normal. My bogging issue was always in trail type conditions at low speeds.

the problem with it not starting is not uncommon....had two m8s do it this weekend also.......the problem is that they are flooding out in cold weather and byt holding the throttle wide opoen it allows the plugs to burn off the excess fuel in the cylinders without puttin anymore in....not sure if there is a fix for it or not

Yeah, I saw were other guys posted this same problem. That solution always works for me as well but I still think it's f'd up to have to do this. Anyway, I'm mostly concerned about the running at half power during low speed riding.
