Two People Shot Outside Gordy's In Seattle

TUKWILA - One man was shot to death outside a crowded golf course restaurant and another was critically injured early Sunday following a book-signing by two authors of a biography about rapper Dr. Dre.

Police arrived at the scene shortly after 2 a.m., responding to a 911 call about shots fired outside the restaurant, said Tukwila police spokesman Mike Murphy.

There they found a chaotic scene of 200 to 300 people who had been leaving a party at Gordon's on the Green at Foster Golf Links in Tukwila. The party followed a book-signing by Bruce Williams and Donnell Alexander, authors of a book about Dr. Dre entitled "Rollin' With Dre."

The rap star himself was not at the book signing or the party, but several other high-profile guests were scheduled to be there. Among them were former Seattle SuperSonics Gary Payton, Sam Perkins and Jerome Kersey.

It's not clear whether any of them were still present at the time of the shootings.

Additional police reinforcements were called in to help control the huge crowd at the scene and to help medics get through to the victims.

Officers determined that two men were hit by shots fired. Both victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

One of the victims, a 24-year-old, died from his injuries. The other remains in critical condition, Murphy said.

As medics were transporting the victims to Harborview, about 100 people who had been at the party followed the ambulances in their cars and created a scene at the hospital. Some tried to climb into the ambulances as they victims were being taken out on stretchers.

Seattle police were called in to enforce crowd control.

Police are still trying to piece together information about the incident and what led to the shots being fired.

No suspects have been arrested at this time.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Tukwila police at (206) 433-1808.

I personally feel really bad for Gordy. He is a hell of a nice guy that just tries to make sure people enjoy themselves and now he has to deal with this bull$hit

I felt like shooting up that Tukwila place up myself once. I had been in and read in the summer they had a huge BBQ out on the deck something like the last Sunday of each month. I made plans well in advance, invited the wife's kids and their wives, drove a long way to get there and guess what: NO BBQ - They forgot!

Haven't been back since.....

So what constitutes "ghetto" in your mind?

How often do you (or did you) go into Gordon's?

The Tukwilla police unit has been so use to shoplifting calls for years around the mall, now just recently asian gangs were doing some retaliation shootings out and around the mall. Go down to the mall sometime, THUG HEAVEN...

Not just the mall either, try up around military road through Mcmicken heights, back way up to the old bowling alley and movie theaters just to name a few. Tukwilla has annexed a larger area to cover and spread a little thinner for protection. I don't know if even police were onsite at the time the shooting occured, but you would think they would be keeping the piece while even a simple book signing was going on. Sorry to stereotype rappers, but chit always goes down at any event that goes on. That's fo shizzle my nizzle.

Sorry but still working on my jive talk

Second part of your question, work down the road a bit but stop in to get ripped after work 8-10 times in the past 2 years. I would play more golf their but too much goose chit all over. I don't like whiping goose dung off my balls.
