This year Utah SUCKS for snow but we actually got a few inches over the last couple weeks. I got the new iPhone 6+ and used it this weekend to film a couple shots. It actually does an awesome job at video and editing. It has 240 fps which is freaking cool. I then just edited everything on iMovie on the phone. It sure is amazing how far the phones have come in the last few years.
Anyway, enjoy my latest edit.

Utah

Nice job on the movie. I to have the 6+ and a Mac desktop with imovie. I have made a few movies in the past but I am not very good at it. Any suggestions on how I can learn more about making movies. I have gone online but had very little luck with that. Sucks about the winter you are having. We went through Utah last summer on our way to Vegas. What a beautiful state you have! On our way we went through Beartooth Pass Montana on June 14, 2014. They were still riding and snowboarding then. 21 degrees and snowing at the time.
Thanks for sharing.

I just used the iMovie app on the phone to edit this movie. So the app has templates to use for the trailer. It's pretty simple to use. You just put in the clips you want to use and change some words and your done. The trailer took only about 15 minutes to put together. My suggestion would be to watch a bunch of videos and get some ideas of how you want yours to look. There are some basic tutorials on Youtube you can watch. If you can learn how to manipulate the timeline by adding and split clips, you can operate pretty much any basic program out there. Just try to be creative and come up with something unique. Think about the shot while you are shooting it too. I have found the shorter the video the better the response. Most people don't want to watch much more than 5 minute clip, unless they are like me and just can't get enough. I am not expert by any means. Most of my videos I put up on Youtube are to just share with those that go with me and its an easy way to show them.

Ya Utah has some great terrain but some years we only can ride for 4 months instead of 6 like usual. This year we might be able to squeak out 5 months if we get some storms soon. I have ridden from Oct thru July on really good years.

Sweet - I filmed a few things on my I-phone 6 this weekend with the "slo-mo" feature and 240fps and was also blown away by the quality of the video....crazy
