hey guys. just took the ole dragon out for the first time yesterday. i installed CPI twins, Beta Gen 3.5 fuel controller and KOSO dual egt with standard resp. probes. anyway it wouldnt pull over 7750 all day and egts were only runnin 1080-1120* max and mostly 980-1020* and had one very short trip to 1250 but it slowly crept up on a long pull when i leaned it out for a run. anyway i did a wot throttle plug trest and they were choc brown. top was good but like i said RPM was only 7700 steady and spike to 7750 and i had stock 10-60 weights in it. mid range it would studder/hesitate and then clean up. was i running fat and loading up of was it too lean? low end was pretty good. and man were the koso egts slow to respond. is anyone's readings slow or laggy to respond?
thanks in advance

Fat and it can hardly get out of it's own way at 7700 versus 8500 where it should spin out..especially with 60's at anything below 10,000ft. When you feel 8500 it will be an entirely different animal. No det light flashing or any flashing off of your gauge pod? det light and or pipe sensor light can seriously effect the results on the efi from Polaris. Obviously clutching and track setups can vary but one thing is for sure...you must see 8300 plus to feel a real twin pipe power. Hot egt's and a hesitation from a steady rpm at any level when hammered or premature det light when you know your ratios are correct for the setup says lean...yours reads out like horribly fat.

What is your fuel blend and what head are you running?

i talked to scott and he said if its rich it will sputter and blurble and do the general fat type symptoms. and if it was lean it would pop/ hesitate and clean up. but everything else tells me fat. im running a stock head for now and where we were at was about 7200 feet. had 4 gallons of av gas in it cuz we started out low and were wantin to play it on the safe side since this is my first adventure with an efi sled lol. cant wait to get rpm up cuz it was flat haulin the mail at 7700 in 3 foot of powder lol and when ya got after it on the trail, man did it pull. im cumin off an 04 800 rev so there is a little of a power difference stock to stock anyway but so far i am impressed lol
