what are the advantages of turning the track around. in deep powder will it help at all or will it just get stuck that muck easier? will I notice a power loss? my sled is stock except I geared it down to 19 tooth.
I turned my maverick around on my edge with a 900 union bay. It was curling back. It seems to work better that it did before, but I don't think it was a night and day difference.
The paddles will stay straight when you run the track backwards. There will be a noticable difference in hookup and it won't brake quite as good going downhill. I would do it again in an instant. I would even install a new Maverick backwards, it was that much better, IMO
In my opinion, if you are going to spend the time to take the track off, just get a different track to put back on. While the chore isn't massive, it's enough time invested to me to guarantee a difference with a new track.
I turned mine around on a TVector. It works ok with boost, I've heard they work better unboosted. I just tried out the new Camo-Extreme this weekend. What a difference! There's no comparison.
I flipped mine around and it seemed to help some but the track is still a POS if running boost, may be fine for stock though. I just ordered a Camo Extreme yesterday, they may trench a little more but the hookup is unmatched.
