Sure glad the dickhead is caught, but unfortionatly our justice system won't give him what he deserves. Wow, what a horrible thing, can't imagine what I'd do if I met him on the hill sledding.......
Terrible thing....However, maybe we shouldn't rush to judgement here....
we are only getting 1 side of the story and we all know how that goes.
Not defending the guy at all, I'm just saying there could be something
more out there, don't believe everything the media says.
How many of you have had someone try to pass you in a bad spot, put
you and your'e loved ones at risk...Maybe the guys passing were at fault
initially, the other guy comes back, sees 3 pissed off dudes and tries to
get the F outta there, clips 1 guy......lot of info we don;t have yet...may
never have.....
I had a guy pass me on a blind corner once, put me and my neice at risk,
I guarantee if I could have gotten my hands on him right then, it wouldn't
have been pretty

agree with you...look at the Weapons of Mass Destruction story..we all believed it from media etc..yes this incident is so sad,feel so sorry for him and his friends and family....hope justice prevails and is delivered..my prayers
I was thinking the same thing.
The 3 guys were on there way to Seattle to catch a flight to Hawaii. I would guess they were some pi$$ed off when they ended up in the ditch and realized they probably were gonna miss their trip.
I don't think the guy was coming back to run them over. Where the incident happened is a straight stretch of road with a slight rise. It is about 1/2 way between a 1 mile stretch of road that has only one side street, which is a no exit. Once the guy turns back, he pretty much is in a trap.
What really bothers me though, is him taking off the deck.
I talked to a buddy yesterday and he knew the victim and he told me that supposeddly I know the driver of the truck. If it is who I think it is .... there will be a lot of guys on this 4m who know him. Right now it is only a rumor so I will not pass out anymore details.

I'm not defending the guy. But it is a little early to pass judgement, don't you think?
The guy killed someone and drove away. That is 2nd degree murder, which isn't punishable by death. The comments about getting a rope and such are a little over the top.

Wow everybody looking to hang buddy. Maybe we should wait to hear the whole story. Do I agree with what happened, of course not. But we don`t know exactly what happened up to the point where buddy was pissed enough to take a run at them. They are making these 21 years olds out to be the perfect little church going poster boys who could do nothing wrong. Gimme a break.
The only story we have so far is the pickup pulled up behind then tried to pass so buddy ran them off the road then came back to take a run at them.Ya I hate it when people try to pass me too. Want to kill them all. Sheeesh people.The cops don`t even know what happened yet .I hope more people come forward because I know there is more to this story. They know it took place around 2 am. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
I know somebody who knows this guy. I might have even sledded with him before.
Buddy bringing up his past driving record. How many of you guys have speeding tickets over the last 5 years etc. Ya exactly. What the fack does that have to do with it.

Now I will give my take on the scenario since everybody else is. We have three young men on the way to the airport to start a vacation(spring brerak hello) at 2 am. I think the parting started a little early and they were driving like idiots jeopardizing other peoples lives and unfortunately pissed off buddy. From what I was told buddy is a good guy so something happened to push him over that edge.
Like already stated I have been in situation where where a bunch of kids passing on a blind corner almost forced me and the a oncoming car into the ditch. They risked my and the other cars family's well being. I had my family with me and I tell you as I am sitting here if it wasn`t for my family in the vehicle I would have followed that car so I could have a "chat" on their driving practices.
Don`t know about you but I live in a country where your innocent until proven guilty. Hope nothing ever happens to any of you where in an act of rage , passion whatever and just throw the book away have people pass judgment on you without the whole story.
Oh and my take on taking the deck off. Nobody knows what they would do in that situation. People do stupid things under duress. He probably realized he just screwed up big time and needed a bit of time to get a lawyer etc. People panic. What would any of you done? Its pretty easy to sit here and say "Ya i would have turned myself in right there because I a church going noble guy" but in real time and it really happening to you who knows.
So before you guys run up the rope wait to see what really happened on that night

Oh ya can anybody confirm that when three 21 old religious males go on a vacation during spring break, do hundreds of parishioners come out to wish them a good time on their journey.Gimme a break Thats what that one news article wrote. Man there is so much more to this and another reason why I don`t watch the news. Pretty soon the news will have these guys portrayed as saints.
I do feel for the victims family and send my condolences out to them during this sad time.

At this point HardKore,,,the big issue is leaving the scene,regardless of the circumstances leading up to the accident. If this was something that happened to your family member, would you feel the same way? That is the real point here, it's easy to forget that. If he had stayed at the scene then it would have been an extremely tragic accident, but when he left the scene,you have to expect people to think the worst, it's hard to see past that.
I just read his name in the paper and realize I know the guy and have sledded with him on more than one occasion. I am in shock that he could do something like this. He always seemed like a guy without a temper. I am very anxious to hear the full story! No matter what really happened, there was certainly no just cause to use his truck as a weapon. Still shocked..........

boys! time to take a breathe! like buddy said, where only seeing one side of the story, right or wrong, we have to hear both sides, who knows, maybe the dude had history with these guys? either way, its very sad!!!
Even if the kids were putting peoples lives in danger by driving wrecklessly, even if they were tormenting this killer with words, driving acts, throwing things at him, even at their worst this guy drove back after raming them into a ditch and tried to kill them AGAIN A SECOND TIME and finally got what he was intending. REGARDLESS of what the kids were doing you can't kill people by running them off the road and then GOING BACK to finish them off.

Can`t say what I would do / feel if it was my family. But I do now this, if it was my kid and it came out he and his friends were being "AZZHATS' at 2 in the morning and driving wreckless and being idiots then I would not be so fast in passing judgment.
What has me pissed is how the press has made these 3 guys out to be the non instigators just because they are religious and go to a religious school. These guys were not just standing waiting for a bus reading the good book when a drunk plowed through them and took off kinda thing. Again there is way more to this story and what took place that late night. Hope it comes out.
Buddy in the end will end up getting punishment for what he did.

Hardkore is dead on with his views on this one, Way to many people pass a quick judgment with out having all the facts, I am guilty of it first thought when I read the story the other day was , what a pos I hope they catch him and send him to texas. After thinking about it a bit more there has got to be more to the story than what has gotten out so far. Think about it when all the intial reports came out it was from the 2 survivors nothing from the man who they had the altercation with so of course its going to be biased twards them. There are hundreds of what might of happened. Heck at this point we don't know if maybe they brushed a bit of sheet metal and when he saw them go of he went down the road and turned around in a safe spot and when he came back, came in hot, hit gravel, black ice, water on the road, and slid and hit the kid. Point is we don't know the whole story. I could see a guy who just slid into people freaking out and leaving the season . We should wait to get all the facts before judgment is pass and then if he did run them off the road and he did come back try to hit them again then by all means throw the book at him and lock him up. Being a religious guy it does seem like the media is trying to paint them out to be choir boys, just because a group of fellas go to church doesn't mean they are perfect and don't make mistakes.
