Turkey Day camp and ride @ RE

I know a lot of you have stayed in the RE Lot for the holiday weekend in the past. Not sure if some of the guys i've ridden with (yammerhammer, rkymtnman, riceburner) still do this? Two of us are going riding over the long weekend and this is looking like a good option for us. Is anybody planning to be up there and camping? Ive only ridden the ears one day and that was years ago so not sure if anyone would let two of us tag along on their ride? or show us the way to AREA 51?

Yammer and Rckymtman have quit the sport two seasons ago.

As for getting into 51, I'd say that is a few storms out yet. It's pretty rocky and needs a few really good storms to make it safe to get into, and out of. The way things are going you might be able to get in there by Christmas. Riding on Thanksgiving should be good if the snow keeps falling as predicted but not in 51.

I hope to make it to the area at least once this year! We ended up in Cooke, we did a shake-down ride late this afternoon. Didn't get up high on the MTN, but it was already deep. Tomorrow will tell all

If I could figure out how to create another day or 2 in a week, I'd be all over it. Still traveling a bunch for work, kids in sports year round, etc. there is no "daddy time" left / LOL. Soon enough - I don't plan to sit on the side lines for ever. I miss it for sure.

Yeah, I don't know how that's gonna work out for me in the upcoming years. PJ is enrolled to play Hockey this year.

Maybe I shall tell him that winter ball sports won't fly. Football and track, maybe baseball. No basketball or wrestling. Hey! I know, I can get him into snowcross. HA HA! They have a circuit for little fellas here. But that still kills a Saturday.

The turkey day ride has died along with the New Years, Superbowl and Spring fling.

Had some good times up on that hill! Kinda miss the Sugar Shack, Shag wagon, rebuilding engines in the enclosed...

They didn't die, it's just been a lack of snow. Get a damn sled and get the party started again Yammer.

I dunno, I did plenty of rebuilding in the enclosed last winter and spring fling was friggin awesome with lots of fresh pow to boot! You just missed out on it.

It still goes on, and was/is fun im sure but it died. The last good one was when the ride where Brett filmed the whole thing on helmet cam.... Yes, I have it on DVD, good watchin! lol

Oh yea, the 4M misfits ride was a good one too! I have not been on a sled in 2 years and Ill bet people are still pissed off @ me over that! Hellova ride though!
