turboing a rx1 what all do i need

getting a rx1 but will deffinately turbo it what all will i need i figured turbo wastegate bov airbox ,intercooler, drill and tap float bowls, all i want to run is around 10psi or so mabe a lil more what else will i need and what size turbo was thinkig a t3/t4:face-icon-small-hap

theres my probalem they are 5000-10000 for a turbo 1 and i have turboed a 2 stroke before just wondered if there is any real difference how much boost can a stock rx1 handle? and im not going to buy a kit they may be flawless but i can turbo a sled for around 1000$ its not rocket science nt meaning to be rude but i have seen many kits and they are basicaly the sae set u as a small car i was going to do front mount turbo will a t3/t4 turbo work? what turbo do they give you guys in the kit i heard gt28 but not for sure? thanks for the help just im not rich

i just built my own kit for my apex, honestly by the time your done it will cost you around 5000$ for reliable stuff, i spent way more cuz i wanted a reliable fast sled thats one of a kind, you can go cheap and use junk but with 4 stroke turbos there touchy and your going to have nothing but problems, lesson learnt,,

oh i heard 4 strokes are way easy to turbo i turboed my zrt600 and it was hell tuning but power jetted it and nw it is completly destroyed so i got a 1998 powder extreme 600 and im never going to turbo it y zrt600 blew up under 12lbs of boost and the 1st piston is completly gone and crank made the rod go out the top of the head i was the scariest thing i hae ever been on anywas decided to by a banshee instea thanks anyways

Will need a front mount fuel tank, header, turbo, downpipe, intercooler, carb rings, so the flange of the carbs is the same size as the intercooler, eletric fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, carb T's x 2, heat shielding, plumbing lines for fuel, depends on what turbo you use, coolant lines, the plumbing for boost side. Then recommend billet carb caps, as the plastic 1's like to leak. Also will have to redo the clutching depending on boost level. Sometimes a used kit comes along with most of the pieces.

you are right on with the turbos, a garrett t28 will work well and a stock motor will handle 10lbs well for a long time. i would also suggest doing a rear mount becasue you can reduce the heat under the hood, and balance out the sled a little more. cuz we all love our yamahas but they are heavy in the front,so why add more weight.
turbo
oil pump
fuel pump ( 15 psi min if you run 10 lbs of boost)
fuel pressure regulator
intercooler or plentum( if you run a rear mount you can run aluminum pipe through the tunnel and it works pretty well to cool the air.)
gauges
oil settling tank( if you run a rear mount you will need two. one before you push the oil back into the valve cover and another after the turbo. this makes it easier to pump.....)

If you don't have much money you shouldn't be trying to turbo an RX1. One little mistake and all you'll have left is a pile of parts.
