Turbo yammies thought to ponder on

Remember in the old days ....early on in your sledding career....you drove a pretty much stock sled....you and your buddies were neck and neck in the highmark competitions....then one of you started modding their sled....the highmarks where starting to spread apart...unless you spend as much as your buddies you wouldn/t come close to them(not talking about rider skill here)

Fast forward to today with the turbo yammies.......take a stock Apex slap a turbo on it and maybe a skid and you pretty much have sled that will keep up to someone that has spent 50,000 on there sled.

So the way I see it the extra money spent on improving your sled, after the turbo and the skid ....went from purely functional(old days) to cosmetic......that is some crazy shat......Don't get me wrong I love how a modded up turbo yammy looks and own one myself......just something to ponder on...

To be honest I do miss the days of highmarking when you had to stay in the same track to get even 2 or 3 feet above the last mark and it didn't scare the poo out of you doing it. Rode my nytro stock for 3 days at revy and it was fun!!!!

BBBUUUUTTTT I love the fact I can now go anywhere I want and don't have to spend all day just getting to the superbowl or turbo hill:rolleyes:

In shape?

I hear ya Linc............ someone once told me they were in shape.............. ummmm, the shape of an EGG!!!
I'm a true example of human performance as well.......;)
These Yammy's are a true work of art........... even in stock form they rock, but once the "extras" are bolted on & performing...........WOW. The days of going out to work ur bag off to get over that hill to the next bowl is gone for me. Don't get me wrong, that's where we learned to ride, but it's getting stuck that's not that much fun anymore. But I guess it's getting stuck that much higher now that "might" be an issue. Safe riding all.

as long as your still out with frineds and family having fun its all good...long as your smart with your power and keep your slef out from under a avolanch and off the rocks.

The GOOD thing about gettin stuck a lot higher on the hill is its easier to turn around You can USE gravity to help But looking at the old gut gravity isn't such a nice thing afterall!!!:(
