Turbo XP?????

It looks like after a few years there are some turbo xp's out there that are running pretty good. I have a few questions and the turbo guys can chime in:

Once you get a baseline setup is it just minor tweeking with varying elevations and conditions?
Once dialed are you on the tow rope every second ride or can you ride for a season without much trouble?
Plus the kit what other expenses did you guys encounter?
Would the kit be safe to run at around 2500'?

I never had been really intrigued by the idea of a turbo xp but after seeing a few go in some of these vids and hearing of some of the good experiences guys are having. My questions mostly apply to the turbo boyz kits. Bryce and Josh sound like really top notch guys to deal with. If it were something I was to ever do I would go there kit. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Yeh, Turboboyz!

This actually reminds me. I think I received some parts from Bryce that I still owe money for. Thats how great these guys are. (I'll talk to you about that in a pm Bryce). I run an inter-cooled Aero 66 on a 04 REV. I do half of my riding @ 2500 ft. If you have clutching and jetting questions I believe I can help. I've given advice to friends with Aero XP kits and they had literally nothing to adjust. Just pull and go. This is based on my experiences setting up my sled. The reason these settings worked for these guys with the XP's is that they ride where I ride. Jetting virtually the same. Obviously the clutching part we had help from this site as well as our own experiences. The problem with buying a kit is that you aren't going to get the clutching components with the kit and there are no instructions on where to start for temp and elevation. If you knew what components you needed, I'm sure Turboboyz would supply them. There are alot of little extras. Everyone does things just a little different, and they all seem to work. You have to get in there and make it your own.

Bryce

Phone Bryce. He just might convince you that his Turbo kit is worth having. Ask questions, he'll answer them. He always does.

most guys really don't have any problems. yes there is some that do.

if your sled has anything wrong with the motor, or is not a soild platform the turbo will just make the problem worse. follow the recipe they work great!

we don't send out clutching and we want you call and ask about jetting. that way we can teach you a few things about it. A guy can read a set of instructions but it is just not the same as talking through it.

give me a call. we can help.

thanks. :face-icon-small-win

I ride my xp turbo like i just stoled it!!!

I live at 6500 feet and ride from my house to 10000 feet! All i ever do is just turn the boost up!!
1300 miles and still on the same Belt and have not worked on it! Once u get her running good WOW a great running sled!!
O boost for boost CAT or the PRO will not touch IT!

Once you have the kit on you will have about three to four rides that you will turn into a super tuner and call bryce a couple hundred times. Then you kinda figure it out and the perma grinn kicks in and yes there are little probs that come up along the way,the fun factor overrides them.Anytime you take an engine and add big horse power there is potential for disaster becuase 6lbs boost doesn't last long before you go to 8lbs and so on.Riding on an average day I start at 8000' and watch my egts at 9000' turn my power jets in a half and 10000' another half, not really a big hassel. As far as clutching goes I am never really happy with anything I have tried but like alittle of everything I tried so I am lost there.

On mine, it's just little PowerJet adjustments for temp and elevations. Clutching is dialed, just change clickers when needed. Five good solid rides and it ran super, even in the heat (50°f that day)

With the turbo I noticed only one thing. I need to get a better suspension,

As far as additional expenses, You need to run better fuel. I'm running straight AVGAS (100ll) and having no problems. I'll try running a 70/30 mix next season to see how it does
