I have a 2012 Nytro XTX and have decided to bite the bullet. Most of my riding is in Michigan. I am looking into a turbo or the new supercharger from Mountain Performance that Yamaha just announced. I have done some reading on the turbos but haven't seen much on the superchargers. What are the main performance differences or other things to expect?

If you are into long lake pulls (much like us westerners loading the motor and climbming hills) then grab the Turbo. If you are more into trail riding and looking for the corner to corner accelleration, then consider the Super.
Turbos traditionally have more big end, while the Supers have more bottom end.
Either one will put a hige grin on your face for the 4k they are charging.......cheap fun IMO
Maybe someone else has more to add as I am not a supercharger expert.....but have had many turbos.

There is only one way to find out and that is to have both. The S/C is great for boondocking jumping and playing in deep powder, but on long steep hill climbs the power falls off as you climb. This year will be the first year on a Turbo for me. I cant wait to see what one i prefer.
